Tasks

A task is one entry in a tree, stored at ~/.adi/mono/tasks/tasks.json. It’s what an agent uses to remember what’s agreed and how far it got, so progress outlives any one run rather than living only in a chat transcript that scrolls away.

An agent’s own run ends; the work it was doing for you doesn’t. A task closed today, reopened next week, and nested under a parent gives both of you — the agent, and whoever’s reading the panel — one place to check “what’s left” that doesn’t depend on remembering which conversation it was mentioned in.

List: adi-mono tasks list. Panel: /tasks, showing the tree across every project.

Terminal window
adi-mono tasks list --project my-app

A task can belong to a project (so it counts toward that project’s open-task badge in the explorer) and nest under another task, for breaking down a larger piece of work.

Small, verifiable tasks read better than one big one closed at the very end — an agent is expected to close each as it confirms it, not batch them up.
